THE ABYSS CAB ONE WEBPAGE

Welcome to THE ABYSS CAB ONE webpage.  I decided to recreate 4 submersibles from THE ABYSS: Cab One, Flatbed, Little Geek, and Big Geek.   This page is focused on CAB ONE.





*IMPORTANT: files are sent MANUALLY.  Please allow 2-4 hours during normal business hours to receive order confirmation and a follow-up email with the files. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as oftentimes emails with large attachments end up in the spam folder.

This 3D STL file set is for your personal use, not to be shared or sold, or modified/redistrubuted.  The files are in STL format for you to 3D print at home.

 


ABYSS CAB ONE DIGITAL STL FILES (no physical media)

Pre-order is open at $39.00 (will be $49 afterwards).

 

  

This FLATBED and CAB ONE are both default scaled at 1/18th, scaled to fit the elgoo Jupiter.  Upsize or downsize it as you like. 

CAB ONE MODEL KIT (no physical media) consists of:

 

  • Hull (single piece solid version, as well as separated solid, and separated hollowed with access holes)
  • Conning tower
  • Conning tower hatch
  • Belly tube/hatch
  • Set of tubular light housings (print 8)
  • Set of lamp light housings (print 4)
  • Set of 2 specialized tank light housings.
  • bow thruster (2 parts)
  • Robotic arm (can be printed as one piece or several if you wish to articulate it)
  • Robotic arm brace (optional)
  • Starboard lower tank
  • Port lower tank
  • Left black tank
  • Right black tank
  • Right roll cage
  • Left roll cage
  • Aft upper optional lights
  • Dome outer ring
  • Front DOME (you can source this from a generic plastic lens, or vacuform your own)
  • Cabin tube (whole version, and split versions)
  • Pilot figure (Lindsey)
  • Chair
  • Set of PDF artwork for making your decals
  • DISPLAY BASE (3 options)

The first test printed kit was printed on the Elegoo Jupiter. 
 


I've been giving some thought about the clear domes that are featured on all 4 Abyss submersibles.  After talking to my good friend Phil Segal for advice, I believe clear CCTV lens covers can be used, and also clear plastic bowls.  STL models of the domes are included with each model which will allow you to gauge the proper sizes needed.   You can also determine what size bubble you'd like to use for your model, and scale your model to exactly fit the lens cover size you select.
