INDEPENDENCE DAY TROOPER TRANSPORT

From Indepedence Day, this is the ALIEN TROOP TRANSPORT.  This starship was seen in several scenes aboard the mothership.  I carefully studied the filming model made for the movie, and meticulously crafted a replica using 3D CAD modeling.

Now you can 3D print your own!  The files are in STL format.

Build-up of this digital model:

Default scale is 17" long when fully assembled.  It can be scaled UP or DOWN depending on how large you want to make it.  I provide the files with the hulls in one piece, and also with the hulls segmented in half, allowing you to print a VERY large model even on modestly-sized 3D printers.  The sample you see below was printed on the elegoo jupiter at 133% which made a 2 foot long model.

NOTE: STUDIO SCALE of this model is 910mm long so upsize to that length if you'd like to achieve the same size as the filming miniature made for the movie.

**IMPORTANT: Please be reminded this file is sent MANUALLY. This means it won't auto-send as soon as your purchase it.   I need to be at my computer to see the invoice and then send it manually.  I have to sleep at some point, so please allow up to 2 hours for delivery during normal U.S. west coast business hours.  Thanks for your patience!

HOW IT WAS MADE:
I used several modeling programs to achieve this project.  Here's some of my work in progress shots:

The textures just about killed me on this project!  They consist of tens of thousands of stacked objects.
