STARSHIP TROOPERS TAC FIGHTER PROJECT

  This is a highly detailed replica of the TAC FIGHTER from one of my favourite movies Starship Troopers! To make sure I recreated the proportions correctly I carefully created vector profiles of the top, bottom, sides, front and rear and projected those onto my sculpture as I progressed. I studied every available photo of the filming miniature and 3D sculpted each individual component. 

  The sample shown on this webpage was printed at default scale, which translates to 1/35th scale which produces a bird with a 22" wingspan.  One of the great challenges I overcame while designing this was replicating the PENCIL LINE panel lines.  I wanted to save you that step so I mimicked micro-thin panel lines which worked like a charm.

  This model features keyed components for easy assembly and internal pass-throughs in the 4 wings and 2 rear stabilizers for inerting stiffening metal rods (to prevent future sagging).  This digital kit alsoo incluides youir choice of 2 different display bases, and if that wasnt enough, alternate parts that accomodate LED lighting and wire pass throughs to the two engine nozzles.  This recreation is an undeniable work of art.
