Thanks for visiting!! I have ALWAYS been fascinated with the mysterious ANTIKYTHERA mechanisms found throughout the ages.  My fascination was pushed even further with the release of Indiana Jones 5.

  My goal was to create the most faithful 3D model depiction of the largest Antikythera fragment.  This is a 3D model in STL format that can be 3D printed either in FDM or resin.  I can also provide you with a PHYSICAL model of this antikythera.

The first painted sample.  This is the EXACT ANTIKYTHERA you see me painting in the video tutorial linked above.   It's displayed on a $5.00 acrylic plate/book holder. 

3D printed Antikythera from this digital sculpt.  So much of the personality and texture of this piece will come through the painting process.  A build-up video tutorial will be filming soon.

  We modeled this as it currently appears on display in Greece - rotted and with an accumulation of wear and calcium deposits after living thousands of years underwater until it's discover in 1901.  The multi-layered gears poke through  heavy layers of calcification.  The remains of metal components are seen poking through the decay and build-up. This is truly is a thing of beauty representing fascinating and mysterious ancient technology.

The Antikythera mechanism is thought to be an ancient Greek hand-powered orrery (model of the Solar System). It is the oldest known example of an analogue computer, possibly capable of predicting celestial events decades in advance. 

This particular artifact was among wreckage retrieved from a shipwreck off the coast of the Greek island Antikythera in 1901.
