Indiana Jones Leap of Faith Painting prop - Wall Plaque
Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 3:56PM This is a really fun project you can do at home at little to no cost. I didn't invent any of these techniques and everything required is available online for free. This is the LEAP OF FAITH painting seen in Henry Jones' apartment in The Last Crusade. The actual prop is pretty large, and the replica I'm going to build in this video is scaled down a bit, mostly to make it more reasonable to build as a weekend project. The result is really nice and makes a great conversational artpiece.

The actual prop is pretty large, and the replica I'm going to build in this video is scaled down a bit, mostly to make it more reasonable to build as a weekend project using spare lumber and a graphic you can print at home. Watch the video link above to learn how to accent the artwork with gold guilding!

This is built from this kit:

You can print the image yourself and make your own prop very inexpensively!! Or I can precut everything for you... The kit includes the decal page, 4 panks cut to the proper dimensions, a nail mounting block blank, 2 support sticks, and a pre-cut sheet of mdf for the artwork mount.
