This item is currently discontinued....
Welcome to the SPACEBALLS Eagle 5 replica page!!! I was a child when Spaceballs first came out and it CRACKED me up!! Who could not appreciate a flying Winnebago! Then, years later, I visited the filming model in a astounding traveling special effects museum.
Now, on the coat tails of building the E.T. ship from scratch, it's time to build that flying Winnebago - the Eagle 5. OBLIVION DRONE SCALE MODEL
Piloted by Barf and Lone Star, this highly detailed replica measures 12.5" long with a 15.5" wingspan. Email me if you're interested in getting one of these limited edition tribute models. Impervium@hotmail.com

HOW IT WAS MADE:
Kit progress as of 10/12
What's left: Trim on the exterior wheel-wells, engine detailing and assembly. wings shaping, undercarriage detail.
I decided to build this at about half studio scale, making this model about 13" long with about a 14" wingspan. Anything larger would be awfully cumbersome to display for the average garage kit builder. This is a quick paper maquette I built to examine the scale. Then I developed the CAD profiles.
The vector files were then laser cut in various thicknesses of acrylic and abs plastics. Here's the parts laid out:
This is evergreen pre-fabbed siding that fits the scale perfectly. This lines the long sides of the winnebago.
I developed the decal graphics using Corel and Illustrator. This is the decal sheet Mark 1. These will be water-slide on thin paper to allow easier application on the contoured siding surfaces.
